TVB Staff Gather To Remember The Dead
Following the earthquake that struck Sichuan a week ago, the Chinese government announced three days of mourning for the victims of the disaster. To mark the start of this period, three minutes silence was observed at 2:28 pm Beijing time today.
People across Hong Kong also took this time to pay their respects and over 500 TVB staff members gathered in the main studio car park, led by General Manager Stephen Chan (陳志雲) to share in the silent remembrance of those who lost their lives. HKPAG Honorary President Eric Tsang (曾志偉) also played his part, helping to hand out black armbands to his colleagues.
A light drizzle fell during the ceremony and the sadness of the moment left many of the female artistes, including Susannah Kwan (關菊英) and Yoyo Mung (蒙嘉慧) unable to hold back their tears...
