Mother's Day Special (CRHK Radio) [write-up]...

decided to translate this interview because i really like it...
and we get to hear about the side of moses that only his mother knows...

and i will be dividing the translation into sections because i want to add some of my own comments... hehehe...

overall comment:
i'm not use to hearing a grown man call his mother "mommy"... it's just weird even for a teen boy... but i think moses is an exception... hahaha... he sounds so cute when he says, "mommy"...

my comment:
my favorite part is in this section... hehe... it's the part about him being a baby... i just find it so cute how moses is already pretty old and physically so big yet his mommy still refers to him as her baby... to me he's also a baby... so adorable and cute... hahaha...

mo ma said moses is special... too bad she wasn't able to elaborate... but i guess we all already know why he's so special... i'm sorry, but i can't stop praising him... and beware there are more to come... hehehe...

i don't know if any of you noticed, but the first time moses said 'available' it sounded like 'avaluable'... hahaha... and that's a new word thanks to moses... it's the word available and valuable put together... moses is available and valuable... haha...

SY: laughing so weird... then i want to ask... chan mama did he ever bring a girlfriend home to let you see???
MM: ehhh...
SY: moses don't say anything... [MO: haha...]
MM: he... from young our house especially in australia there are a lot of girls who come... because we live across the beach... once we cross the street is the beach so his friends will come to our house to swim, after swimming then shower, after surfing... our porch is very big... everyone comes to play...

my comment:
that part about living across the beach makes me imagine moses in his wet suit... hahaha... he looks very sexy in that... for those who haven't seen him in a wet suit when he was still in his teens then click here: shirtless [4]...

and with all these questions about girlfriends and rumors we can tell that mo ma really protects her baby... haha... she won't tell us anything...

SY: moses... when he was young was he considered a good child or a bad child???

MO: no at first he asked me to lend money... and i said: "money can't... what do you need i'll buy some for you..." he said he just needed shampoo sort of things... i said: "ok shampoo... i'll bring you to 7 to buy it..." [SY: uh...] at 7 bought shampoo and then he said: "can i have something to drink" "ok allow" "can i have something to eat" "ok allow"... add together... don't know... like even more than i would give him... hahaha..!
SY: wah..! is it because he recognized you are moses???
MO: no no..! [MM: don't recognize don't recognize...] he's a tourist/traveler who's walking down the street and "don't have any money on me and wanted to buy something... [MM: it's happened a long time ago...] [SY: aw (ok)...] can you... lend me some money???" that sort of thing...
SY: yes...
MM: now he doesn't even have time...
SY: yes now he doesn't even have time to walk around on the street..?

my comment:
awww... moses never yells at his mommy... such a good child... and the way he speaks to his mommy when she's angry... he's too good to be true...

and the way he helps others... he's too nice!!!

i love how his mommy quotes him... she changes her voice making it sound cute and kiddish... hahaha... moses probably sounds like that to her... or maybe he talks to her in that way... which is super cute!!!

section 4:

SY: then moses really loves you auntie, i know... [MM: yes...] but would he do anything to please/sweet-talk you... does he know how do something to really please/sweet-talk you to make you very happy..?
MM: he's not even pleasing/sweet-talking... it's really sincere... like... but there are things that make me very angry...
MO: hahaha..! it's coming...
SY: it has to be spending money..!
MO: it's coming it's coming..!
MM: it is it is...
SY: whoever is a mommy will be like that...
MM: like happy is like this... like i say i'm cold when i'm walking down the street with him [SY: yes...] i say: "wah..! why is it so windy so cold..." "wait wait... wait a second..." then he would go inside (a store) and instantly buy a shirt to cover you...
SY: wah... [MM: like that...] really...
MM: then not happy is one time in australia... like 2000 australian dollars is a lot of money... moses is so sweet!!! i think he doesn't care how much he spends on his mommy... haha...

and the thing about buying presents for his girlfriend... i would be happy even if he gave me a stick of gum... hahaha... seriously..!

TVB 40th Anniversary Award Ceremony [write-up]...

this is my first time doing anything like this... hopefully you all like it... hehe...
instead of uploading clips on to youtube i just made animated .gif's... hope you all don't mind... and basically these .gif's are of parts i like...
and hopefully my translations are correct... sometimes i have a hard time understanding what moses says... haha...

right before this part amigo showed everyone clips of what color clothing artists usually wear to the award ceremony... popular colors are black, red, and white...
amigo says all the guys are wearing black...



amigo: for the "best actor" award, a lot of people say moses' chance is really high, so high that you might not be getting one, but a few awards. what do you think about this?
moses: of course getting more is better! ha..! just to put it that way, right? hahaha..!

after moses' speech do jie walks moses down the steps and back to his seat... she asks him if he thinks he will be able to take the other award home... moses said getting the "favorite character" award is already enough... but of course he will be happy to get the other award... they pass the microphone around to bobby, ha yu, raymond, kevin, and roger... each commenting on how they feel about getting the "best actor" award...

my comment:
why did i cut this particular part??? because some said that moses looked disappointed when he found out he won "favorite character"... i personally don't think moses looked disappointed; he looked shock to me...
before announcing the winner, idy said she wanted to present the award to damian lau, but damian did not make it to top 5... idy then added that she also likes the actor who is going to win... at that moment moses' says to roger, "of course it can't be me..."thus when his name was called he was shocked...
hehe... you know me i have to defend my idol...

back to the acceptance speech... i like how he thanked the whole world... that's really creative... haha...

and last thing... bobby is so funny... i use to love this guy when i was really young... still do, but not as much as i love moses...

i just had to share this part because it's such a sweet moment... i think si kei jie was congratulating moses for winning the "favorite character" award and then moses puts his arm around her and gave her a little hug... awww!!!
hopefully they will have some touching mother-son moments in Heart of Greed II...

it's finally in my hands because all this time i think this feeling will be mine one day (bobby: you didn't say that before!!!) of course before i had to say it like that! [audience laughing and clapping] haha..! but it takes a long time to prove this thing, for real. because opportunities are very hard to get. in this business for such a long time then realize that opportunities are very rare. i am from every small opportunities then to bigger and bigger ones to make improvements, to create a different side of me so i am very thankful. thankful to TVB for giving me so many opportunities. especially tsang jie, tsang jie was there to support me when i was at my lowest point, having more confidence in using me than i had in me so i wholeheartedly thank her. and thanks to miss lok and stephen. many thanks to siu ching jie, she is another producer who was one of the first to give me so many opportunities so i wholeheartedly thank her. and every producer i've worked with... ka ho gor, Heart of Greed, really is amazing. including ah chik, now filming a lot of good series. and last, thanks to... wait not last... sorry... thanks to my mommy who brought me into this world. thanks to my fans who always support me and people by my side who always support me. ummm... i just love that very first and last part of the speech...
first about the first part... i think moses possesses the right amount of arrogance that makes him very manly and sexy... haha... and that booming laugh is just adorable...
and now about the last part... what more can i say??? it's just the sweetest thing ever... and the way he smiled made it even better...
